CAMP SWAMP 2024 Theme: God Always Words cannot fully express our gratitude for your kindness. Your sacrifices went a long way in not only making camp successful but also supporting very needy situations that arose during the camp planning period. Your generosity has welled up into great testimonies of God’s goodness and providence from both the camp organizing team and some parents who had lost hope of their children being at camp. As we reflect back, we are in awe of God. We are not just counting numbers, donations or kids who attended camp but miracles that unfolded right before us.   Highlights Camp CounselorsThe counselors efficiently created a meaningful experience for the campers, inspiring life-changing testimonies at home. Parents are now requesting their own camp experience, and counselors are eager for next year, with registrations for Camp Swamp 2025 starting soon. Emotional Healing A 14-year-old girl, grieving her grandmother’s loss, found comfort and peace at camp, sharing how it became a sanctuary for her. The experience allowed her to momentarily forget her sorrow and feel God’s presence. Support for Vulnerable CampersTwo girls, whose parents lost their businesses in a fire, were able to attend camp thanks to donations. They expressed deep gratitude for this chance, which brought them joy during a difficult time. Special Care for a Displaced FamilyA girl from a homeless family with a recovering mother attended camp, enjoying decent sanitation, meals, and a bed, all thanks to donations. For this family, camp renewed their hope and strengthened their faith. Youth Leadership and Counselor DevelopmentAbout two-thirds of the counselors were former campers who served with passion and energy. The church is proud to see these young leaders step up, feeling ready to entrust them with future leadership. Inspired church membershipThe camp-led service deeply moved the church, leading some members to pledge financial support. Their contributions will help more children benefit from future camps.
